Christmas in Knightsbridge 2026: Harrods, Hyde Park and Teas

Christmas in Knightsbridge 2026 centres on three things: the Christmas shop at Harrods, Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, and the festive menus at the big hotels between them. Winter Wonderland opens on 19 November, The Lanesborough's festive tea starts on 5 November, and Harrods publishes its in-store events calendar closer to the season. Here is what has been confirmed so far, with dates, addresses and the nearest tube. We will add to it as venues publish their festive programmes, so check back in November.

Christmas World at Harrods

Harrods runs its Christmas shop, Christmas World, on the Lower Ground floor, with decorations, stockings, crackers and more. The store's festive offer also covers Christmas hampers, gift personalisation and festive dining across its restaurants, and Harrods says a calendar of in-store events will follow. The Food Halls are the place for edible gifts. Go on a weekday morning to avoid the worst of the crowds, and leave time for the window displays along Brompton Road. Address: 87-135 Brompton Road, SW1X 7XL. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland returns to Hyde Park from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with rides, shows, stalls and food. Booking online in advance saves up to 25 per cent, and off-peak sessions from Monday to Thursday throughout November cost £1. New for 2026, you can buy ride and game credit before you arrive. Popular dates and attractions sell out, so book early, and choose an off-peak weekday session if you have children with you. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner or Marble Arch. Tickets and dates.

The Lanesborough's festive afternoon tea

The Lanesborough turns its Bridgerton Afternoon Tea festive from 5 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, served in The Lanesborough Grill with live piano at weekends. The hotel dresses for the season and publishes a full festive programme for 2026, and The Library Bar is the place for a drink afterwards. Tea vouchers make an easy Christmas present. Address: Hyde Park Corner, SW1X 7TA. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner. Festive tea details.

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is about a 17 minute walk from Winter Wonderland, which makes it a natural base. Its festive season includes stays with seasonal surprises, suites decorated with trees and garlands on request, private party spaces for up to 400 guests and a winter wellness programme at the spa. The Rosebery serves afternoon tea daily, and its seasonal menu changes through the winter. Address: 66 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7LA. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Music at Brompton Oratory

Brompton Oratory is internationally recognised for its sacred music, and Christmas is its busiest season. Given that musical reputation, the Christmas liturgies are a highlight of the year for many Londoners. Times for the Christmas masses and services are published on the Oratory's service times page and weekly newsletter nearer the date, so check before you travel and arrive early for the main liturgies. The church is free to visit outside services, and its music list is published online. Address: Brompton Road, SW7 2RP. Nearest tube: South Kensington or Knightsbridge.

Christmas parties at Alba

For a group lunch, a family gathering or an office party, Alba at 70 Brompton Road has Italian festive set menus for groups, with private and semi-private spaces looking across to Harrods. Book early, as December lunches fill first. The ten-seat omakase counter, led by Japanese Head Chef Takuya Kaneko, is a more intimate option for a small celebration, with nine or twelve courses. Address: 70 Brompton Road, SW3 1ER. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Good to know

December weekends in Knightsbridge are crowded, so plan shopping for weekday mornings and book restaurants and teas well ahead. Check opening hours over Christmas and New Year with each venue, as many change them. Wrap up for Hyde Park, which is colder than the streets around it. If you are staying over, the hotels around Hyde Park Corner and Knightsbridge put you within walking distance of everything above, which saves queuing for taxis on busy December evenings.
