Easter Sunday Lunch in Knightsbridge and Chelsea 2026: Where to Book

Good Friday is here, which means the question of where to eat on Easter Sunday is suddenly urgent. Plenty of London restaurants have special menus for 5 April, but the best options close to Knightsbridge are refreshingly varied: an Italian family feast on Knightsbridge Green, a Japanese brunch in a Chelsea mews and a classic pub roast. Here is where we would book.

Sette, Knightsbridge Green

For a proper sense of occasion, Sette at 4 Knightsbridge Green is serving an Easter lunch from 12pm to 3pm, from £55 per person. Starters include burrata, polenta and salmon crudo, followed by a choice of lobster taglioni, black cod or roasted lamb with potatoes and vegetables. Dessert leans into Italian Easter tradition, with hot cross buns and chocolate eggs alongside pastiera, the Neapolitan Easter tart scented with orange blossom. A separate children's menu is available, and there will be live music throughout. It is an easy walk from Harrods and Hyde Park.

Dinings SW3, Chelsea

For something lighter and less traditional, Dinings SW3 in Walton House on Lennox Gardens Mews is hosting a Japanese brunch from 12pm to 7pm at £65 per person. The spread takes in sushi, crispy rice, salads and chirashi bowls, made with sustainably sourced British seafood and seasonal vegetables, and the cocktail list includes a miso espresso martini. The long serving window makes it a good choice for families who would rather not be tied to a single sitting, and for anyone who wants Easter lunch to drift gently into the evening.

The Chalk Freehouse, Chelsea

If only a roast will do, The Chalk Freehouse on Tryon Street, just off the King's Road, is serving a Sunday lunch built around a roast of Launceston lamb with roast potatoes, crushed swede and Yorkshire pudding. Save room for the Chelsea bun, which comes recommended for pudding. It is the most relaxed of the three, and a pub setting suits mixed groups of friends and family. Afterwards, the boutiques and cafés of the King's Road are only a couple of minutes away for an afternoon stroll.

Choosing the right table

  • For a celebration with grandparents: Sette, with live music and a children's menu.
  • For a flexible, lighter meal: Dinings SW3's all-afternoon brunch.
  • For tradition: lamb and Yorkshire pudding at The Chalk Freehouse.

All three were picked out in Country and Town House's Easter 2026 round-up, which also covers hotel teas such as The Peninsula's Easter afternoon tea at Hyde Park Corner.

Booking tips

Easter Sunday is one of the busiest restaurant days of spring, so book now and confirm prices and sitting times directly, as holiday menus can change. If you are walking off lunch, Hyde Park is a few minutes north of Sette, and the King's Road is on the doorstep of the Chelsea options. Knightsbridge station serves Sette; Sloane Square and South Kensington are best for Chelsea. For more ideas, see our restaurant guide.
