Father's Day 2026 in Knightsbridge: Where to Book Lunch on 21 June
Father's Day falls next Sunday, 21 June, and in Knightsbridge that means one thing: the good lunch tables are already going. Some fathers want a grand hotel dining room, others a serious steak or simply a well-made roast and a pint, and there are strong options for each within a short walk of Harrods. Here is where we would book, from the most formal to the most relaxed.
The grand gesture: The Lanesborough Grill
For a proper occasion, the Lanesborough Grill at Hyde Park Corner is running a Father's Day menu at £115 per person. As Luxury London reports, think roast Orkney scallop, beef Wellington, cod with courgettes, basil and mussels, and a dark chocolate ganache to finish, with Champagne on hand. It is the newest dining room at The Lanesborough, and the setting does most of the celebrating for you.
The steak lover: Hawksmoor Knightsbridge
If Dad is happiest with a knife in one hand and a red wine in the other, Hawksmoor Knightsbridge on Yeoman's Row serves its Sunday roast from 11.30am to 5pm. Choose slow-roast rump or thick sirloin, carved and served with all the trimmings, or go for the Sunday Feast, a sharing steak for two or more. There is a Winslade Wellington for vegetarians and a smaller kids' roast if requested when booking, which makes it an easy family choice. The Art Deco basement, with its marble, brass and leather banquettes, feels suitably festive.
The relaxed option: a Chelsea roast
For a pub lunch with a little more polish, The Cadogan Arms on the King's Road offers a Sunday roast where you choose rump of beef, pork belly, lamb shoulder or a mix of all three, with butter-glazed vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. For a father who appreciates a serious cocktail, its The Don Old Fashioned comes in at £30.
Something different
- Hyde Park Garden at Mandarin Oriental: the new Chippy Tea for two, with triple-cooked chips, beer-battered haddock and a lemon posset, eaten in a private garden facing the park. Lunch runs from 12pm to 2.30pm.
- Avi Bistrot on Lowndes Street: for fathers who prefer the morning, breakfast runs until 11am and includes a full English, with caviar dishes on the lunch menu that follows.
- The Sea The Sea on Pavilion Road: for a seafood-loving father, the newly expanded fishmonger now has Nick Marsden's upstairs bistro, where oysters come with a £1 caviar add-on, and a big terrace outside. With only ten seats inside, book early.
Booking tips
Book this weekend if you have not already, particularly for Hawksmoor and the Lanesborough, and mention the occasion when you reserve, along with any dietary needs in the party. If you are planning a walk afterwards, LANZA atelier's new Serpentine Pavilion in Kensington Gardens is free, open on Sundays and an easy stroll across Hyde Park from any of these tables.
