Iftar in Knightsbridge 2026: Where to Break the Fast Near Harrods
Ramadan 2026 began in mid February and is expected to run until around 18 March, which means Knightsbridge is now well into its evening rhythm: quieter afternoons, then a rush of families and friends heading for tables just before sunset. Few London neighbourhoods cater to the fasting month as thoughtfully, and this year several kitchens within a short walk of Brompton Road have written dedicated iftar menus. Here is where to book.
Two iftars inside Harrods
Harrods is the obvious starting point, and it has two distinct offers this year. Em Sherif, the Beirut name whose deli has traded in the Food Hall since January 2022, is serving a Lebanese family-style set menu from £90 per person. It opens, as tradition demands, with a Medjool date, then moves through kibbeh summakiyeh, fattoush with pomegranate molasses and a choice of taouk or kebab, finishing with muhallabiyeh.
For something less classical, Somewhere has three set menus built for groups of two and three or more, from £80 per person. Expect Middle Eastern ideas pushed somewhere playful: wagyu-filled bao, kunafa-wrapped shrimp and a guacamole hummus, with Cerelac um ali and a French coffee baklava for pudding. Both are ideal if you want to combine iftar with an evening in the store.
Fish and chips, Ramadan style
A few doors along at 138 Brompton Road, The Mayfair Chippy Knightsbridge is running a four-course iftar at £48 per guest, available daily after 5pm through the month. It begins with Medjool dates or a mini lentil soup before sharing platters arrive. Choose between the Mayfair Classic of fried cod and haddock goujons, king prawns and hand-cut chips, a whole seabass marinated in chermoula with za'atar and labneh salad, or a Middle Eastern shepherd's pie made with braised lamb shoulder. It is the most relaxed option on this list and works well with children in tow.
A Gulf table in Chelsea
Ten minutes south, on Elystan Street, Villa Mamas brings a Khaleeji accent to the month with a three-course iftar from £65 per person, served from sunset until 11pm. The menu takes in harees, seabass sayadieh and a vegan qurma sabzi, with um ali or luqaimat and saffron ice cream to finish.
Booking tips for the final fortnight
- Sunset moves later each evening, so confirm your seating time when you book rather than relying on last week's slot.
- Weekends fill first, particularly at Harrods, where store hours also shape when you can arrive.
- Menus and prices can change as the month goes on, so check directly with each restaurant before setting out.
- Eid al-Fitr follows the end of the month; if you are planning a celebration meal, ask each kitchen what it will be serving once the iftar menus finish.
Knightsbridge station on the Piccadilly line puts you a two-minute walk from Harrods and The Mayfair Chippy; Villa Mamas is closer to South Kensington and Sloane Square. For more ideas after Eid, browse our guide to the area's restaurants.
