Where to Watch the World Cup 2026 Near Knightsbridge
The FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off tomorrow, 11 June, and runs until the final on 19 July, with matches spread across the United States, Canada and Mexico. That geography matters for anyone planning to watch from SW1: most of the games that British fans care about land in the evening or late at night London time, which turns a match into a dinner booking rather than a long lunch. Here is what to know, and where to watch within easy reach of Knightsbridge.
The fixtures that matter
England are in Group L and, according to the fixture list published by Sky Sports, play three group games:
- England v Croatia: Wednesday 17 June, Dallas, 9pm UK time.
- England v Ghana: Tuesday 23 June, Boston, 9pm UK time.
- Panama v England: Saturday 27 June, New York New Jersey, 10pm UK time.
Scotland are in Group C, and their supporters face later nights: Haiti on 14 June at 2am UK time, Morocco on 19 June at 11pm and Brazil on 24 June at 11pm. The group stage runs until 27 June, after which the knockout rounds begin.
Belgravia pubs with screens
The closest options to Knightsbridge come from Cubitt House, which has said it will show the tournament across its central London pubs, with large screens for the biggest fixtures. Three of them are in Belgravia:
- The Alfred Tennyson, 10 Motcomb Street, a short walk from Knightsbridge station. Its private Boardroom is equipped with a television, which makes it a good choice for a group.
- The Thomas Cubitt, 44 Elizabeth Street, where the Drawing Room can be booked privately.
- The Orange, 37 to 39 Pimlico Road, with the Feasting Room available for private hire.
Tables are booked online, and private rooms through Cubitt House's private hire team. For an England evening kick-off, booking several days ahead is sensible.
Further afield in Chelsea
If you would rather be among a bigger crowd, the King's Road is a short bus ride away. The Cadogan Arms at 298 King's Road has said it will show every match of the tournament, and Cubitt House's Builders Arms on Britten Street is another Chelsea option for the larger fixtures. Looking further ahead, Pizza Pilgrims has said its Chelsea restaurant will screen England's quarter final, semi final and final games if they get there, with a £4 ticket that includes a guaranteed seat and a beer on arrival.
Planning your match night
With 9pm and 10pm kick-offs for England's group games, the easy plan is an early dinner nearby and a pub table booked from around 8pm. Screens fill quickly for England, so book rather than turn up, and check each pub's own page for the matches it is showing. Expect the streets around Motcomb Street and Elizabeth Street to be busier than usual on match nights. For other events happening around SW1 this month, see our events listings.
