About Saatchi Gallery

Saatchi Gallery has shown contemporary art since 1985 and now occupies the Duke of York's HQ just off the King's Road in Chelsea. Its early exhibitions drew on the collection of Charles Saatchi and built its reputation for introducing artists who later became internationally known. Since 2019 it has been a registered charity that reinvests its revenue into exhibitions and education.

The gallery runs themed exhibitions about contemporary creative culture rather than a permanent display, so what you see depends on when you visit. The current headline show is the return of BEYOND THE STREETS, an all new exhibition spread over more than ten rooms with work by over 100 international creators, bringing together new, historic and previously unseen pieces from leading figures in street culture. Education programmes for young people run alongside the exhibitions, and staff are on hand on every floor.

The galleries are large, light and easy to move through, and the setting on Duke of York Square puts the King's Road shops and cafés on the doorstep. It suits art lovers, families with older children and anyone in Chelsea with an hour to spare. Check the website before you go: the gallery is closed from 12 to 15 October 2026 and on 19 and 20 October, with shorter hours on some days, before reopening daily from 10am to 6pm from 21 October.
