About Sir Frank's Bar
Sir Frank's Bar is the cocktail bar of Beaverbrook Town House, a boutique hotel of 14 suites in two restored Georgian townhouses on Sloane Street, sister to the Beaverbrook country house hotel in Surrey. The bar is named after Sir Frank Lowe, the hotel's creative director, who assembled its art and collections.
The room is an Art Deco inspired space with lacquered walls, stained glass in burnt umber and berry tones, raspberry pink seating and leather lined booths. Tables are topped with patchwork made from Japanese matchbox covers, and the walls carry a collection of 19th century Japanese woodblock prints. The bartenders work from a cocktail list and are happy to mix something to your taste, and there is a wine and sake list. A bar snack menu runs from noon to 10.15pm, and the bar also hosts the hotel's sweet and savoury Japanese afternoon tea, with temaki, house-made patisserie and Japanese loose-leaf teas; it can also be taken on the terrace.
The hotel's Japanese restaurant, The Fuji Grill, is next door if you want to stay for dinner. Sir Frank's suits pre-dinner drinks, a nightcap after shopping on Sloane Street and small groups who want a booth. The bar is walk-in only with no reservations; afternoon tea can be booked online.
