Michelin Star Restaurants in Knightsbridge and Nearby
Knightsbridge and its immediate neighbours hold some of the most decorated dining rooms in London. Inside the area itself there is Dinner by Heston Blumenthal with two Michelin stars and Tom Brown at The Capital with one; a few minutes away in Belgravia sit Pétrus, Amaya and Muse, and just south in Chelsea are Elystan Street and the three-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Every star below was checked on the MICHELIN Guide website and every restaurant on its own site. Here is how they compare.
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (two stars)
At Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal cooks modern dishes drawn from historic British recipes, each dated on the menu: Meat Fruit (c.1500), the mandarin-shaped chicken liver parfait, and Tipsy Cake (c.1858) with spit-roast pineapple are the signatures. Two tasting menus, The Discovery and The Legacy, run alongside a set lunch, and the kitchen is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Note that the restaurant closes at the end of January 2027, so book soon. It is at 66 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7LA, by Knightsbridge station. See our Dinner by Heston page.
Tom Brown at The Capital (one star)
Tom Brown made his name as head chef at The Capital Hotel before opening Cornerstone in Hackney, and his return to Basil Street brought a Michelin star in the 2026 guide. The 28-cover room serves clean, produce-driven cooking with a strong seafood bias, alongside meat and vegetarian dishes. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday and lunch Thursday to Saturday, with set and à la carte options. Find Tom Brown at The Capital at 22-24 Basil Street, SW3 1AT, a few minutes from Knightsbridge station, or read our venue guide.
Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay (one star)
Named after the Pomerol estate, Pétrus kept its star in the 2026 guide and wine is central to the experience: a glass-walled wine store sits at the heart of the dining room. The cooking is classic French with a contemporary edge, and there is a chef's table for those who want to watch the kitchen. It is the most traditional of the Belgravia trio, ideal for a celebration. The address is 1 Kinnerton Street, SW1X 8EA, between Knightsbridge and Hyde Park Corner stations.
Amaya (one star)
Amaya opened in 2005 where Knightsbridge meets Belgravia and has held a star since 2006. Its theatrical open kitchen is built around three Indian grilling methods: the tandoor, the tawa griddle and the charcoal sigri. Order the smoked chilli Welsh spring lamb chop and the seafood platter, the house signature, and add a curry or biryani from the monthly changing list. You will find it in Halkin Arcade, 19 Motcomb Street, SW1X 8JT, about five minutes from Knightsbridge station.
Muse by Tom Aikens (one star)
Tom Aikens opened Muse in January 2020 in a converted Georgian mews house with just 23 covers, and it won a star soon after. The tasting menus trace moments from his own life and career, served with wine pairings chosen by the sommelier. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday and lunch Thursday to Saturday, with occasional one-night collaborations with guest chefs at the counter. Muse is at 38 Groom Place, SW1X 7BA, a cobbled mews off Belgrave Square, closest to Hyde Park Corner station.
Elystan Street (one star)
Phil Howard's Chelsea restaurant is the least formal room on this list and arguably the best value. The cooking is seasonal and ingredient-led, without gimmicks, and there is a set menu, an à la carte and a Sunday lunch, plus a wine list that mixes crowd pleasers with niche bottles. It is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and for lunch on Sunday. Find it at 43 Elystan Street, SW3 3NT, a walk from South Kensington or Sloane Square stations.
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (three stars)
Gordon Ramsay's first wholly owned restaurant opened on Royal Hospital Road in 1998, won its third star in 2001 and has kept it ever since, including in the 2026 guide. It is the only three-star address within easy reach of Knightsbridge, and the Inspiration Table offers a closer view of the kitchen. Book well ahead. The restaurant is at 68 Royal Hospital Road, SW3 4HP, about ten minutes on foot from Sloane Square station.
Good to know
Stars are reviewed every year, so check the MICHELIN Guide before you book if a star matters to you. Most of these kitchens close on Sundays or early in the week, and several are lunch-light, so plan around their days. Dinner by Heston is the one with a deadline. For a drink before or after, The Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is close to Dinner, Tom Brown and Pétrus.
