Anya Hindmarch x Snoopy on Pont Street: final week at the Village Hall
Pont Street has had a space theme since late August, and this is the last week to see it. Anya Hindmarch's First Beagle in Space, her third collaboration with Peanuts, puts Snoopy in an astronaut's helmet across a collection of bags and small leather goods, with an accompanying exhibition at the Village Hall. Both close on Sunday 11 October.
The exhibition
The Village Hall at 11 Pont Street is Anya Hindmarch's space for exhibitions and one-off projects, and since 22 August it has been given over to Snoopy's space mission. It is the kind of installation that charms adults and children equally, and it is worth seeing even if you have no intention of buying. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday from midday to 5pm.
The collection
The palette is midnight blue, celestial silver and sky blue, picked out with astronaut orange. According to the Sloane Street estate's guide to the collection, highlights include:
- Mini Mortimer, £1,495: in dark blue, with Snoopy and Woodstock on the front and a hidden Charlie Brown illustration inside. Made in Italy.
- Drawstring Pouch, £1,195: silver and hand-sequinned, with a beaded Snoopy.
- Travel Tote, £995: in infinity blue.
- Zip Card Case, £275: in silver.
- Ear Pods Case and Coin Purse, £250 each.
- A magnetic card case with Snoopy in astronaut mode, plus limited editions of the original Mortimer and the In-Flight travel bag.
Prices start from £150, so there is something for most budgets, and the small leather goods are the obvious choice for presents. With Christmas shopping starting earlier each year, a Snoopy card case is the kind of gift that gets remembered.
Why Pont Street keeps working
Few brands use a single street as cleverly as this one.
Anya Hindmarch has turned a short stretch of Pont Street into something closer to a village than a shopping strip, with shops, a café and the Village Hall each playing a part. Her projects there, from this space mission to the summer's Ice Cream Project, have given Knightsbridge and Belgravia a steady stream of reasons to visit beyond the big department stores. This one is a reminder of how well playful design can sit alongside serious craftsmanship.
If you miss it
The collection is also listed on the Anya Hindmarch website, though the exhibition itself is only on Pont Street until Sunday. Limited editions tend to be the first to go, so if a particular piece has caught your eye, it is worth checking availability in person this week.
Getting there
The Village Hall is at 11 Pont Street, SW1X 9EH, just off Sloane Street and a few minutes' walk from Knightsbridge station. It is open on Sunday from midday, which makes a final-day visit easy to fit around lunch. Combine it with a wander down Sloane Street, or a coffee at the Anya Café nearby; our shopping guide has the full map of nearby boutiques.
