Restaurants Near Harrods: Where to Eat Around Brompton Road
The closest good restaurant to Harrods is Alba, directly opposite the main entrance on Brompton Road, and if you would rather not leave the store at all, Em Sherif, the Beirut name widely credited with putting Lebanese fine dining on the map, is on the Second Floor. Within five minutes' walk there is a Michelin star at Tom Brown at The Capital, Japanese at Zuma, New York Italian at Sette, late-night mezze on Beauchamp Place and an old-school Italian on Pavilion Road. All seven are trading now and were checked on their own websites.
Alba
Alba sits at 70 Brompton Road, across the road from the main entrance to Harrods, and pairs Amalfi-inspired Italian cooking from Head Chef Cristian Ianni with a ten-seat Japanese omakase counter led by Takuya Kaneko. For a shopping lunch, the weekday set menu is two courses for £32 or three for £39; at dinner, order the lobster linguine or book the omakase, nine or twelve courses, Tuesday to Saturday. It opens from noon every day, two minutes from Knightsbridge station.
Em Sherif at Harrods
The Beirut restaurant founded by chef patron Mireille Hayek opened its first European branch on the Second Floor of Harrods. Expect za'atar man'oushe from the oven, hummus with sautéed Wagyu beef, fattouch, lentil soujouk with spicy sausage and an orange blossom rice pudding. For a faster bite, the Em Sherif Hummus Bar is in the Dining Hall on the Ground Floor, alongside Dim Sum by China Tang and other counters. Harrods is at 87-135 Brompton Road, SW1X 7XL.
Tom Brown at The Capital
A couple of minutes from Harrods on Basil Street, Tom Brown at The Capital won a Michelin star in the 2026 guide. The 28-cover dining room serves clean, creative, produce-driven cooking with an emphasis on fish and seafood, plus meat and vegetarian dishes. Lunch is served daily, with set and à la carte menus from Thursday to Saturday, and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. It is at 22-24 Basil Street, SW3 1AT; see our venue page.
Zuma
Zuma has been one of London's best-known Japanese restaurants for two decades, taking its cue from the izakayas of Tokyo. The bar is open all day for drinks and welcomes walk-ins, which makes it easy to drop in after shopping, while the restaurant serves lunch daily and dinner until 11pm, or 10.30pm on Sundays. Book through Zuma London; it is at 5 Raphael Street, SW7 1DL, a short walk from Knightsbridge station. More on our Zuma page.
Sette
At the Bulgari Hotel, Sette is the first London restaurant from New York's Scarpetta group, with its own entrance at 4 Knightsbridge Green. It is unusually flexible for a hotel restaurant: breakfast from 7am, lunch on weekdays, dinner Tuesday to Saturday and brunch at weekends, plus a bar that stays open until midnight from Monday to Saturday. Knightsbridge station is a couple of minutes away.
Maroush Beauchamp Place
A few minutes west of Harrods, Maroush at 38 Beauchamp Place, SW3 1NU, serves Lebanese food to a widely mixed Knightsbridge crowd. It suits any appetite, from a wrap to take away to a full dinner of hot and cold mezze in the first-floor dining room, with plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. Its hours are the longest around: from noon until 3am early in the week and until 4.30am from Thursday to Saturday.
Sale e Pepe
A Knightsbridge institution since 1974, Sale e Pepe serves classic Italian cooking with old-fashioned Italian hospitality at 9-15 Pavilion Road, SW1X 0HD, just behind Sloane Street. It is open from noon every day, until 10.30pm Monday to Thursday, 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 10pm on Sunday, and takes group bookings for birthdays and private dinners. Knightsbridge station is a few minutes' walk.
Good to know
For afternoon tea rather than a meal, The Georgian on the Fourth Floor of Harrods serves an award-winning tea with tableside theatre. At weekends, book Alba, Tom Brown or Sale e Pepe ahead, or use Zuma's walk-in bar and Maroush's long hours as your fallback.
