Ami Paris Opens an 18-Month Pop-Up on Sloane Street
Sloane Street has a new French resident, at least for the next year and a half. Ami Paris, the label founded by Alexandre Mattiussi, has opened a long-term pop-up on the street, planned to run for 18 months. It arrives in the middle of Chelsea in Bloom and the Chelsea Flower Show, the busiest week of the year for this end of SW1, and it has wasted no time joining in.
What the store is like
Although it is billed as a pop-up, this is far from a temporary-feeling space. The interiors pair soft beige tones with oak wood, stone finishes and gilded details, designed to echo the brand's flagship in the Marais in Paris and to create a warm, residential feel. Works by the artist Andreas Diaz Andersson are displayed throughout. PAUSE has more on the opening, with images of the interiors.
What to buy
The store carries menswear, womenswear and accessories, starting with the Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Ami has built its reputation on relaxed, well-cut Parisian wardrobe staples, the kind of pieces that sit comfortably between the tailoring houses and the street labels, and the Sloane Street edit reflects that. With an 18-month run, expect the store to move through several seasons, which makes it worth checking back as the collections change. Accessories are the easiest way into the brand if you are new to it, and make good gifts.
Joining Chelsea in Bloom
The timing is neat. Chelsea in Bloom, the free floral festival produced by Cadogan with the RHS, runs until Sunday 24 May under the theme Out of This World, and Ami Paris at 135 Sloane Street is one of the participants, offering exclusive astrological cards to visitors. It is a small but charming way to mark the festival's cosmic theme, and a reason to step inside if you are walking the trail. Sloane Street's Chelsea in Bloom guide lists the other participating shops, hotels and restaurants on and around the street.
Why Sloane Street
A long-term pop-up gives a brand the chance to test a neighbourhood before committing to a permanent flagship, and Sloane Street remains London's most concentrated run of international fashion houses. For Ami, it places a younger, more accessible Parisian label among the established names, and for shoppers it adds welcome variety to the street.
Tips for visiting
- Visit early on a weekday this week, as Chelsea in Bloom and the flower show bring heavy foot traffic to the street.
- Ask about the astrological cards while the festival runs until Sunday; they are part of the Chelsea in Bloom programme rather than a permanent offer.
- Combine the visit with a walk down to Sloane Square to see the festival's zodiac constellation installation.
Getting there
Ami Paris is on Sloane Street, SW1X, about ten minutes on foot from Knightsbridge station, with Sloane Square at the southern end. See our full guide to shopping on Sloane Street for the rest of the street's boutiques.
