Roksanda's Sloane Street Concept Store: Last Weeks to Visit
Sloane Street has no shortage of flagships, but one of its most interesting spaces this spring is temporary. Since 12 March, the London designer Roksanda Ilinčić has been running a three-month concept store at 171 to 172 Sloane Street, and it is less a shop than a carefully composed room where fashion, art and design sit side by side. With the residency due to close in early June, the coming weeks are the time to see it.
The idea
Roksanda has described the store as being about more than fashion: a place where art, design and craftsmanship coexist, inspired by architecture and by women who shape culture. The brand's chief executive, Patricia Sancho Ortega, who took the role in January, has framed it as positioning Roksanda as a cultural curator as well as a fashion house. TheIndustry.fashion has the full background to the launch.
The collaborators
Ilinčić curated the space with four female collaborators, and their work is part of the experience:
- Béton Brut chose the architect-led furniture.
- Gabriele Beveridge, the artist, contributed sculptural and conceptual works.
- Grandirosa, the London floral atelier, created the flowers.
- Commune, the British fragrance house, scents the store.
The interior architecture is by Bradley Taylor, and a selection of books chosen by Ilinčić rounds out the space. The result feels closer to a private gallery or a collector's apartment than a conventional boutique.
What to buy
The rails carry the newly launched Spring/Summer 2026 collection, with Roksanda's trademark sculptural shapes and confident colour. The real draw for regular clients, though, is the bespoke service on offer during the residency:
- Colour customisation of pieces from the collection.
- Made-to-order gowns for events and the summer season.
- Bridal pieces, a natural fit for spring and summer weddings.
A programme of partner activations and events runs alongside, so it is worth asking in store what is coming up. The Roksanda website has more on the collections and the concept store.
Why it is worth the detour
Roksanda is one of London's most respected independent designers, and a space on Sloane Street gives the label a Knightsbridge stage alongside the international houses. For anyone with a wedding, a summer party or the season's big events in the diary, a made-to-order commission from a London designer is a more personal choice than another label piece, and the concept store makes the process unusually welcoming.
Even if you are not buying, the store is one of the most thoughtfully designed rooms on the street, and the art and flowers alone justify ten minutes. Because the florals come from a working atelier and the residency is short, the displays are likely to evolve over its run, which makes a second visit worthwhile for regulars.
Getting there
The store is at 171 to 172 Sloane Street, SW1X, an easy walk from both Knightsbridge and Sloane Square stations, so it slots neatly into a morning on the street. Combine a visit with the rest of the street's boutiques using our guide to shopping on Sloane Street, and allow time for lunch nearby.
