The Best Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Where to Book in 2026

OK29 September 2026·By Only Knightsbridge Editorial·4 min read
Tom Brown at The Capital

The best restaurants in Knightsbridge sit within a few minutes of each other: two Michelin-starred hotel dining rooms, a seafood counter opposite Harrods, a Japanese izakaya on a quiet side street and a run of serious Italians. This list covers places that are open now, with what to order, where to find them and the nearest tube. One important note before you plan ahead: Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is due to close at the end of January 2027.

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal holds two Michelin stars and cooks modern dishes inspired by historic British gastronomy, in a dining room at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. The set lunch, served Monday to Saturday, is three courses for £65 and is the easiest way in; the Chef's Table seats four to six for a bespoke menu beside the kitchen. The restaurant is due to close at the end of January 2027, so book soon if it is on your list. Find it at 66 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7LA. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge. Book on the official site.

Tom Brown at The Capital

Tom Brown returned in 2025 to The Capital, the hotel where he made his name as head chef at Outlaw's, and his 28-cover restaurant won a Michelin star in the 2026 guide. The cooking is produce-led with a strong seafood bias, and the room is small and calm, which makes it a good choice for a discreet lunch or a celebration. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday, with lunch Thursday to Saturday. The address is 22-24 Basil Street, SW3 1AT, behind Harrods. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge. See menus at tombrownatthecapital.com or our Tom Brown at The Capital page.

Alba

Alba pairs a southern Italian coastal kitchen with a Japanese one. Italian Head Chef Cristian Ianni runs the à la carte, where the lobster linguine, crab ravioli and Amalfi tagliolini with red Mazara prawns are the dishes to know. Japanese Head Chef Takuya Kaneko leads a ten-seat omakase counter overlooking Harrods, with a nine or twelve course menu at 6.30pm and 8.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday. It is at 70 Brompton Road, SW3 1ER, directly opposite the Harrods main entrance. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Zuma

The original Zuma opened on Raphael Street more than two decades ago and is still the flagship of a group that now spans several continents. The menu is built around the Tokyo izakaya: share plates from the robata grill, sushi and sashimi, with a busy bar that serves drinks all day and welcomes walk-ins. It suits groups and late, lively dinners more than quiet conversation. The address is 5 Raphael Street, SW7 1DL, a short walk west of Knightsbridge station. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Amaya

Amaya opened in 2005 where Knightsbridge meets Belgravia and has held a Michelin star since 2006. The open kitchen is built around three Indian grilling methods, the tandoor, the tawa griddle and the sigri charcoal grill, and dishes arrive in smaller portions as they are ready, so order widely and share. Michelin's inspectors single out the smoked chilli lamb chops. Find it in Halkin Arcade, 19 Motcomb Street, SW1X 8JT. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge, or Hyde Park Corner.

Cantinetta Antinori

The Antinori wine family opened Cantinetta Antinori in 2023 in a historic building just off Sloane Street. The restaurant serves traditional and contemporary Tuscan dishes alongside wines from the family's own estates, and there is live jazz every Friday evening. The wine bar is open all day for salami and a glass, which makes it a useful stop between shops. It opens daily from noon to 10.30pm at 4 Harriet Street, SW1X 9JR. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

La Môme London

At The Berkeley, La Môme London brings the look and mood of the French Riviera to Wilton Place, with Mediterranean dishes made for sharing and a terrace that comes into its own in warmer months. There is a private dining room with closing doors for celebrations. Lunch runs from noon to 3pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 11pm. The address is The Berkeley, Wilton Place, SW1X 7RL. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge or Hyde Park Corner.

Sette

Sette is the first international outpost of New York's Scarpetta, inside the Bulgari Hotel London. Fresh pasta and bread are made daily, and the signature order is the Scarpetta spaghetti with tomato and basil. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday, with weekend brunch and a bar that stays open until midnight Monday to Saturday. Find it at 4 Knightsbridge Green, SW1X 7QA. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Good to know

Most of these rooms book up at weekends, so reserve a week or two ahead and check each restaurant's own site for current hours, which change seasonally. For a first visit, lunch is the better value at the starred addresses. Everything here is within a 15 minute walk of Knightsbridge station.
