The Best Spas in Knightsbridge: Mandarin Oriental to Bulgari

OK27 September 2026·By Only Knightsbridge Editorial·4 min read
Bulgari Hotel London

The best spa in Knightsbridge depends on what you want from it. Some are built around a pool, some around treatments, and a few are private clubs where hotel guests get in and day visitors book treatments to earn access. All six below are inside or beside major hotels within walking distance of Knightsbridge or Hyde Park Corner stations, and each one lists its own rules on minimum treatment times and ages, so check before you book. If the pool matters most, look at the Bulgari or The Peninsula; for treatments and a proper thermal circuit, Mandarin Oriental; for a longevity programme with fitness built in, Surrenne or The Lanesborough.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental is open daily from 9am to 9pm, with gender-specific facilities that include an amethyst crystal steam room, sauna, vitality pool and a colour therapy relaxation area. Booking at least 90 minutes of treatments Monday to Thursday, or two hours Friday to Sunday, gives you use of the facilities; two hours or more adds the 17 metre pool. Arrive 45 minutes early. The spa is for over 18s and asks guests to lock phones away, which keeps the relaxation areas properly quiet. Find it at 66 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7LA. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge. Spa details and brochure.

The Bvlgari Spa

The draw at the Bulgari Hotel London is the pool: a 25 metre colonnaded swimming pool clad in Vicenza stone, with loungers and cabanas, which the hotel calls the most dramatic private pool complex in central London. The spa is currently hosting a LOYA Spa Suite, a pop-up collaboration with the Swiss skincare brand, and the hotel's Workshop Gymnasium handles training. Come for a long swim and a treatment rather than a quick session; the pool hall is the reason to choose it over its neighbours. The address is 171 Knightsbridge, SW7 1DW. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

Surrenne Belgravia at The Berkeley

Surrenne Belgravia is Maybourne's wellbeing and longevity club, spread over four floors of The Berkeley. Expect saunas, aromatic steam rooms, a snow shower, a 22 metre lap pool, seven treatment rooms for four-hands massages and Oxygeneo facials, a hyperbaric chamber, an IV therapy menu and a floor given to the Tracy Anderson studio. The café menu is curated by nutritionist Rose Ferguson. Guests of The Berkeley and The Emory have access during their stay. Address: Wilton Place, SW1X 7RL. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge or Hyde Park Corner.

The Lanesborough Club & Spa

The Lanesborough Club & Spa is a private members' club that won Best London Spa at the Good Spa Awards. Hotel guests use the gym, hydrotherapy pool and separate male and female saunas and steam rooms, while treatments use brands including Ground Wellbeing and Royal Fern. Spa days are available, and the club opens 6am to 10pm on weekdays and 7am to 9pm at weekends. The entrance is at 2 Lanesborough Place, SW1X 7TA. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner. Opening hours and spa days.

The Peak Fitness Club & Spa

At the top of Jumeirah Carlton Tower, The Peak spreads across three floors with views over London. The Talise Spa side has a 20 metre indoor pool and jacuzzi, a Himalayan salt sauna, a steam room and five treatment rooms, while the gym leans on recovery technology as much as cardio. It is the strongest all-round fitness offer of the group. Find it on Cadogan Place, SW1X 9PY. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge or Sloane Square.

The Peninsula Spa

The Peninsula London keeps its spa and wellness centre on a quiet lower floor, alongside a 25 metre indoor pool with underwater music speakers and illuminated overhead panels. The fitness centre is open to hotel guests 24 hours a day, which suits jet-lagged travellers. Treatments combine modern techniques and traditional rituals. The hotel is at 1 Grosvenor Place, SW1X 7HJ, beside Wellington Arch. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner.

Good to know

Pool access for non-residents usually depends on booking a treatment of a set length, so ask when you book rather than on arrival. Most spas take a card to hold a reservation and charge in full for late cancellations, typically within 24 hours. Age rules vary: Mandarin Oriental is for over 18s, while The Lanesborough sets aside splash hours for families and offers selected treatments to 16 and 17 year olds with an adult. Weekday mornings are the quietest time at all six, and gift vouchers are sold by most of them.
