The Peninsula London's Dog Grooming Salon: Last Weeks to Book
Knightsbridge and Belgravia have always been dog country, and one of the area's grandest hotels has leaned into it. Since 10 February, The Peninsula London at Hyde Park Corner has hosted a dog grooming residency with Love My Human, the premium Chelsea grooming and lifestyle brand. The hotel describes it as the first in London to offer in-house dog grooming. The residency is scheduled to close on 10 May, so anyone who has been meaning to book has a few weeks left.
Where and when
The parlour sits in the hotel's ground-floor retail arcade, next to the floral atelier, and is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. It is Love My Human's second London address after its flagship on the King's Road, and the brand runs London's first International Certified Master Groomers academy. The interiors use paint colours from Little Greene, so it looks far more like a hotel boutique than a salon.
Services and prices
- Full groom: £110 to £180, depending on the size of the dog
- Wash and tidy: £93 to £150
- Nose and paw balm treatment: £35

Prices were published when the residency launched, as reported by Globetrender, so confirm the current rate when booking. Travelling for Business has more on the partnership and its dates.
What owners do meanwhile
The hotel has thought about the humans too. While the dog is being pampered, owners can take a coffee at The Peninsula London Boutique and Café, book time in the Spa and Wellness Centre, or head to the Errol Douglas Salon for a cut and blow dry, a beard trim or a manicure. It turns a chore into a rather civilised couple of hours.
A properly dog-friendly hotel
The grooming residency sits on top of an already generous offer for four-legged guests. Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel, including in Brooklands Bar, Canton Blue and Little Blue Noodle Bar. Rooms can be set up with bespoke bowls, plush beds and soft toys, and dog walking and pet-sitting are available on request. With Hyde Park and Green Park both on the doorstep, there are few better-placed hotels in London for a dog owner.
For local residents, the appeal is simpler: a top-end groom a short walk from home, in a setting far smarter than most, before the residency packs up in May. For a nervous dog, a shorter wash and tidy is a sensible first visit before committing to a full groom, and it leaves time for a slow walk home.
Getting there
The Peninsula London is at Hyde Park Corner, on the edge of Belgravia, beside the Piccadilly line station of the same name and about ten minutes' walk from Knightsbridge. After a groom, the obvious next stop is a lap of Hyde Park. Browse more of our Knightsbridge hotel guides for other dog-friendly stays.
