Luxury Hotels in Knightsbridge: The Berkeley to The Lanesborough

The luxury hotels in Knightsbridge cluster around Hyde Park Corner and the top of Sloane Street, and most are within ten minutes' walk of Harrods. They differ more than you might expect: some are grand and historic, some new and design-led, and several are built around a spa or a serious restaurant. Here are eight to consider, with what each does best and the nearest tube. Families tend to favour the hotels with big pools, couples the smaller addresses, and business travellers the ones nearest Hyde Park Corner for quick access to Mayfair and Westminster.

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park sits on Knightsbridge with its back to Hyde Park, and carries three MICHELIN Keys. Dining includes the two Michelin-starred Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, due to close at the end of January 2027, plus The Aubrey izakaya, The Rosebery for afternoon tea and the Mandarin Bar. The spa is open daily from 9am to 9pm. Address: 66 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7LA. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge. Rooms and offers.

The Berkeley

The Berkeley, part of Maybourne, holds the 2026 Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating. Its Park Suite Collection is nine park-facing suites plus the Hyde Park Penthouse. Cédric Grolet is pâtissier in residence, La Môme London brings Riviera dining, and every stay includes access to Surrenne Belgravia, the four-floor wellbeing club. The heated rooftop pool opens in spring and summer for hotel guests. Address: Wilton Place, SW1X 7RL. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge. Book direct.

The Lanesborough

The Lanesborough is a Regency mansion at Hyde Park Corner with butler service in every room and suite. Executive Chef Shay Cooper runs The Lanesborough Grill, The Library Bar is one of the most handsome bars in London, and The Garden Room is a cigar lounge. Guests use The Lanesborough Club & Spa, and new balcony rooms and terrace suites have recently opened. Address: Hyde Park Corner, SW1X 7TA. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner.

Bulgari Hotel London

The Bulgari Hotel London is the most contemporary of the group. Deluxe rooms start at 43 square metres with black Marquina marble bathrooms, and the 25 metre colonnaded pool is the centrepiece of the spa. There is a private cinema dedicated to Sir Richard Attenborough, a ballroom, and Sette, the Italian restaurant from New York's Scarpetta team. Address: 171 Knightsbridge, SW7 1DW. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

The Peninsula London

The Peninsula London is newly built beside Wellington Arch, with Peter Marino interiors and three MICHELIN Keys. Peninsula Time lets guests arrive from 6am and leave as late as 10pm, a real advantage after a long-haul flight. There is a 25 metre indoor pool, a spa and a 24-hour gym. Address: 1 Grosvenor Place, SW1X 7HJ. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner.

Jumeirah Carlton Tower

Jumeirah Carlton Tower overlooks Cadogan Gardens, and guests receive a private key to the garden square. The Peak Fitness Club & Spa spans three floors with a 20 metre indoor pool and views across London, while dining includes The Chinoiserie, La Maison Ani and an afternoon tea inspired by British gardens. Address: On Cadogan Place, SW1X 9PY. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge or Sloane Square.

The Capital

The Capital Hotel, Apartments & Townhouse, run by Warwick Hotels and Resorts, is a smaller five-star on a quiet residential street behind Harrods. Its restaurant, Tom Brown at The Capital, won a Michelin star within a year of opening, and the hotel has a private car park, rare in this area. The hotel also offers serviced apartments and a townhouse for longer stays. Address: 22-24 Basil Street, SW3 1AT. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.

The Emory

The Emory is an all-suite Maybourne hotel with 61 suites and studios by designers including André Fu and Patricia Urquiola. Every stay includes breakfast, a 24-hour butler, a stocked minibar and Surrenne access. Dining is at Jean-Georges' abc kitchens, with cocktails at The Emory Rooftop Bar. Address: Old Barrack Yard, SW1X 7NP. Nearest tube: Hyde Park Corner.

Good to know

Booking direct often adds breakfast or suite privileges, and several of these hotels run loyalty or member rates. Rates peak in December and during the summer season, when Hyde Park hosts its big events. If you are coming for the spa or a particular restaurant, book those at the same time as the room, as hotel guests do not always get priority.
